Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was set to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Numerous supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Numerous of supporters had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the surprising bond between two distinct sorceresses.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, winning several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
